In particular, the market for the sale of crabs is very rich, there are not many, because the Cambodian people like this crab very much. So you should not overlook this one. Here are some simple crab raising techniques you can apply:

1. How to prepare a sewer for raising

  • The choice of drainage size depends on the area you want to raise, but must be 1 meter high to prevent the crab from coming out.
  • Put 2 PVC pipes to release and add water
  • The new drain must be soaked in water and changed 3 to 4 times.
  • Put banana trees in a basin to reduce lime
  • Apply soil about 20 to 30 cm thick.
  • Make a roof to provide shade and place old pipes or tiles as a shelter, and should be planted with rice paddies and walnuts and watered. Enter the white hole about 30 cm.

2. How to breed crabs

  • Release about 50 healthy crabs from a natural lake into a prepared drain.
  • This entry is limited to 25 male crabs and 25 female crabs.

3. How to feed

  • Feed 3 times a week
  • Foods such as rice, small fish, kampis, kale
  • Food should be placed in moderation, not more than needed, because it can cause the sewer to become rotten, so it should be removed if left.
  • Change the water two to three times a month.
  • If you are raising small crabs that are 15 days old, you should feed them red worms or boiled eggs. Kampis fish can be chewed or eaten by catfish.
  • Wait until the crabs are 30 days old, release 1 square meter of drainage can release 10,000 heads.

4. How to care for crabs

  • Crab shelling observed when the end stripes of the backbone are abnormally distorted
  • The crab shell will stay still and pull the legs out on both sides.
  • The backbone will open.
  • Its hind legs open first.

5. Harvesting

After 13 to 15 white crabs, enough adult crabs can be sold.

During the rainy season, a single crab lays about 500 to 700 eggs, growing for six to eight months.
