 Design of Sustainable Homes

Sustainable design should be a priority for modern homes. Although building a sustainable home has many other challenges, passive houses are a fantastic place to start. Here are some crucial sustainability considerations:

Energy-efficient lights and appliances

recycled resources

Air sealing and Insulation for Renewable Energy

effective cooling and heating

Various topics will fall under the umbrella of sustainability. All of our customers are actively encouraged to thoroughly consider sustainable design and to use it as much as they can in their houses.

Home automation technology

Talking about 21st-century modern house design concepts would be incomplete without including smart home technologies. Smart gadgets will be everywhere in the homes of millennials. But having a smart home is not only for millennials. Here are a few examples of the various smart home appliances you may utilize in your new home:

Learning thermostat from Nest

Lightbulbs made by Philips

Amazon Alexa

Smart Locks for Google Home

The Smart Bed

Some thermostats may change their programming based on your habits. Talking to your house is possible thanks to home hubs like the Amazon Echo or Google Home. Who wouldn't want a house that talks?

Systems with Kinetic Architecture and Automation

One of my personal favorite Automated Systems, Kinetic Architecture, and Modern Home Design Ideas will be this. The term "kinetic architecture" refers to structures with moving elements. The components can be moved mechanically or manually. Homes that use mechanically controlled components can truly be considered contemporary, high tech, and even futuristic. Many of the moving elements in homes may be made to function mechanically by pressing a button, using a motion sensor, or by using programmed controls. Here is a list of a select few things that can be mechanically or manually mechanized.

Commercial items and attributes

Some commercial goods or architectural elements can be used in modern homes. For instance, we used fiber cement board panels from a commercial structure to construct a Modern Townhouse in Brooklyn, New York. Perhaps some commercial goods can assist in modernizing your home. A multifamily structure or a single-family home can both employ cement boards or metal panels. You can utilize commonly available commercial hardware or windows. You may build a storefront on your home as well. An image of a townhouse we created with contemporary fiber cement panels and large commercial windows may be found below.

Contemporary Roof Deck

Consider employing a flat roof as a roof deck if you're planning to construct with one. In order to accommodate this, you will need to engineer the roof to a larger structural load, therefore don't forget about it. Utilizing every square inch of space while enjoying some nice views is possible with roof decks. An outside area is usually a welcome addition for a family's house.
